Brand fit

Brand fit is the degree to which a piece of content carries a specific brand. Not whether the photo is good. Whether it is yours.

The definition

A photo has high brand fit when a stranger who knows your brand could look at it, uncaptioned, and place it as yours: the subjects you return to, the light you shoot in, the register you speak in, the world you show. It has low brand fit when it is competent, attractive, and interchangeable with any other company's content.

Quality and fit are different axes. Your best photograph can be your worst post, and a technically unremarkable shot can be unmistakably you.

How Creative Cortex scores it

Every photo you drop gets a fit score out of 100 and the sentence that explains it, judged against the working profile of your brand rather than a generic ideal. The score moves with your brand: as your identity sharpens or shifts, the same photo can read differently, because fit is a relationship, not a property of the file.

When a photo is high fit, the read says where it belongs. When it is low fit, the read says so plainly and names the reason. When the brand evidence is thin, the read says that too instead of inventing a confident number.

Why it matters

Every post either compounds your brand or spends it. Fit is the difference, and until now the only way to judge it was instinct or a strategist's hourly rate. Scoring fit on everything you own turns the content tax into a line item you can see, and the library you already paid for into a ranked shortlist.
